A decades-long relationship between F&G Tool and Die Co. and Reynolds Machinery, leads to growth and collaboration for both businesses.

F&G Tool, one of the most established manufacturing companies in southwest Ohio, has a strong history of continued  growth in the region. As the company has grown and expanded throughout the years, it has turned to Reynolds Machinery as a trusted partner to supply the machines that enable the company’s growth. According to Jeff Johnson, COO of F&G, the two companies have been doing business going back to the first-generation owners of each company.

Operating three Dayton-area facilities, F&G offers a full slate of capabilities, most notably specializing in the machining of complex precision parts. The company serves a variety of industries, including medical, aerospace, automotive, electrical and computer, among others.

Beyond a dedication to growth of their teams, companies and the region, both companies share even more in common.
Much like Reynolds Machinery, F&G Tool is also as second generation family business. That unique perspective gives both companies a lens of understanding and shared passion through their individual growth.
Johnson said as the companies have grown in parallel, F&G has come to consider Reynolds Machinery more of a partner than a vendor.

“The support they’ve provided us through many, many years is why we’ve maintained our loyalty,” Johnson said.

With its growth, F&G turns without hesitation to Reynolds Machinery when the company needs to upgrade an older piece of equipment.
Most recently, F&G purchased an EDM product to replace a machine that was 25 years old. The company’s familiarity with Reynolds Machinery and the sales and service process Reynolds is known for made the upgrade a smooth transition, and F&G was up and running with the new machine in no time.

“We aim to be that dependable resource for our customers,” said Scott Mays, President. “We have a genuine interest in seeing them continue to grow. Whatever we can do to help them get to where they want to go, we will do it. Without hesitation.”
